Hi, I’m Staci McMonagle.
A native Floridian who grew up in Jacksonville and has proudly called Fernandina Beach home for the past 29 years. This community is where I raised my family, built lifelong friendships, grew my career, and became deeply invested in the future of our city.
My professional background has always centered around serving people. I spent 17 years working in hospitality, including five years as a concierge at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, where I learned the importance of communication, listening, and paying attention to the details that matter most. In 2008, I entered the healthcare field through Angel Watch and later founded my own business, CNA Care Services LLC, where I’ve spent the past 17 years providing compassionate care and support to families throughout our community.
Service and community involvement have always been important parts of my life. I am a longtime member of Living Waters World Outreach Center and have volunteered alongside fellow church members through the Salvation Army Hope House Interfaith Dinner Network. I previously served on the board of Young Life, helped support teens across Nassau County, and am a founding member of the Christian Heritage Parade.
Fernandina Beach has always been more than just where I live — it’s home. From walking Centre Street and supporting local businesses to volunteering at the Shrimp Festival and fundraising for Faith Christian Academy, I value the traditions, relationships, and small-town character that make this city so special.
In 2022, I ran for Fernandina Beach City Commission Seat 5 in a three-way race and earned 27% of the vote. While I did not win, the experience strengthened my commitment to this community and allowed me to connect with residents who care deeply about the future of Fernandina Beach.
I am running for Fernandina Beach City Commission Seat 4 because I believe residents deserve leadership that listens, communicates openly, and puts the community first. I will work to restore trust and transparency in local government, support responsible growth, protect taxpayers, and preserve the natural beauty, history, and unique character that make Fernandina Beach such a special place to call home.
My Priorities
Transparency & Accountability
Promote open government, honest communication, and decision-making processes that build trust between residents and city leaders.
Protecting Our Environment
Safeguard Fernandina Beach's dunes, tree canopy, water quality, and natural resources for future generations.
Smart, Managed Growth
Support thoughtful development that strengthens our community without compromising quality of life or overburdening local infrastructure.
Fiscal Responsibility
Advocate for responsible budgeting, careful oversight of taxpayer dollars, and efficient management of city-owned assets.
Preserving Our Small-Town Character
Respect the history, charm, and unique identity of our community while ensuring future growth aligns with residents' values.
Supporting Local Businesses
Encourage policies that help local businesses succeed while maintaining the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of our downtown and commercial districts.
Putting Residents First
Ensure that the voices of Fernandina Beach residents are heard and reflected in every decision made by the City Commission.
Abolish Paid Parking
Work to eliminate paid parking in town and support parking solutions that are fair, accessible, and beneficial to residents, visitors, and local businesses.
Why I Am Running
I decided to run for City Commission because I have seen a growing disconnect between local government and the residents it is elected to serve. Too many people feel that their concerns, ideas, and priorities are not being heard or reflected in the decisions that shape our community.
As I looked at the race, I felt that many residents were still searching for a candidate who truly represented their vision for Fernandina Beach. Like many others, I found myself waiting for someone to step forward and be a strong voice for the people who live here. Then I realized that real change begins when ordinary citizens choose to lead.
That is why I decided to run. I am committed to putting residents first, listening to the community, and ensuring that the voices of Fernandina Beach citizens are at the center of every decision made at City Hall.
Our city deserves leadership that is transparent, accountable, and focused on preserving the character, values, and quality of life that make Fernandina Beach such a special place to call home.
